What’s it all about?
In 2022, Trafford Council announced the need to lease Altrincham Town Hall to private tender. Almost 2,000 local people rallied to petition for its preservation as a community asset – and Oyez Arts has proudly won the bid to save the Hall, bringing a fresh vision for its future. As a community benefit society, our mission is to revitalise this historic building, turning it into a vibrant space for culture, creativity and community celebration. Every penny we earn will go back into the Hall and local projects.

What can I do to help?
While Oyez Arts has made significant progress in securing the lease for Altrincham Town Hall, we will need the support of the community to help bring our vision to life. The building has seen years of underuse, and restoring it to its full potential as a vibrant cultural hub will be a major task.
We’ll soon be launching a Community Share Offer, giving local people the chance to invest in and shape the Hall’s future. In the meantime, visit our website to pledge your support to help us make this vision a reality!
Pledge your support
We’re aiming to raise at least £100,000 from the community to secure the funds needed to transform the space. Right now, we’re seeking pledges to help us get off to a strong start when we launch our community share offer early next year.
By investing in shares, you’ll become a member of our society with voting rights—giving you a voice in how things are run. You’ll also become a part-owner of Oyez Arts Ltd, sharing in the ownership of its assets. Community shares aren’t a donation; there’s the potential for a limited financial return, and you could get your money back in the future.
