Oil Painting Course
Join figurative painter, John Sotorrio, at Oyez in Altrincham for an introduction to oil painting. The workshop is ideal for beginners who will get the opportunity to learn how to use and mix oil paint, how to utilise mediums and glazes. More experienced artists are welcome to hone their skills and learn new techniques. Over the 5 sessions the classes will cover:
- An introduction to oil painting, an understanding of layering and glazing.
- Traditional painting techniques, mediums, brushes and tools.
- Drawing, composition and perspective.
- Basic colour theory and palettes.
- Complete a still life or self portrait.
Bring your own materials, or purchase a starter kit from OYEZ containing necessary materials and equipment for £42.00 Kit includes:
- Basic set of oil paints and brushes
- Primed 30×40 canvas
- Odourless mineral spirits

Painting and Drawing Natural Forms
Amy Hughes is a professional artist working in all forms of painting and drawing. Join Amy to learn to draw and paint natural forms exploring various mark making techniques. You will learn about tone, line, form, composition and colour. All materials included. Class starts Thursday 14th November 1-3pm. Book via Instagram amyhughes.art.als included.

This creative and welcoming group is for anyone experiencing loss. At difficult times it’s often helpful to be with others who just understand. Come together to draw, craft, create and chat in a safe space. In Partnership with Full Circle Funerals and is free to join.

Simply Singing
Sing to your hearts content in this friendly Thursday evening group singing Jukebox favourites arranged by the team. What’s in the membership? As well as your weekly rehearsal run by professional musician Emma Wheeler. Membership access to song sheets and practice resources, you get a snazzy foder for your lyric sheets and opportunities to perform with bands, in various locations and at events.
Great fun and a fab way to make friends in a welcoming and safe environment. Everyone welcome.

The Ilikesinging team bring the amazing Alty Voices Choir to the Town Hall on Monday nights.
We believe everyone can learn to sing, and along the way we’ll have you laughing, grooving, twisting and shouting!
